What are one-time payments?

Do you think that one-off investments are only something you do with large sums of money, such as inheritance or gifts? Basically, that’s correct, but you should also keep in mind smaller amounts when thinking about one-off payments. Because a sum of 2,000 euros or more can already have a significant impact on your investment, and gets you one important step closer to realising your dreams.

One should not only think of inheritance and gifts when it comes to one-time payments. Other sums such as work-related premiums and bonuses, insurance policy pay-outs and savings books should also be taken into account. It is often hard to get good returns on these kinds of savings. That’s why a one-time payment into an investment fund represents a lucrative alternative. For example, with an estimated return of 6 % a sum of 2,000 euros adds up to 5,708 euros after 18 years, and 11,546 euros after 30 years. (It should be noted that the depicted result is highly dependent on the assumed interest rate. With an assumed annual performance of 5%, the result is EUR 4,813 after 18 years and EUR 8,643 after 30 years. With an assumed annual performance of 4%, it is EUR 4,051 after 18 years and EUR 6,486 after 30 years.) * Aside from this aspect, one-time payments and regular savings with Raiffeisen funds are easily combined.
