Raiffeisen Capital Management streamlines its product line

Raiffeisen Capital Management’s range of products is being streamlined through six fund mergers. This means that the positions held by investors in the funds that are being absorbed will be transferred to the new funds. Starting on the effective date of the merger, investors will have shares in the absorbing fund in their securities accounts. This process will be fully automated, and customers will not be charged any fees or incur any other costs.

Investors’ interests will remain completely protected

In order to protect investors’ interests, all fund mergers must be approved by the Austrian Financial Market Authority in advance. For this purpose, RCM must prove to the FMA that the mergers do not jeopardise investors’ interests in any way. For example, the company must demonstrate that the asset structures of the two securities funds involved in each merger are similar for the most part. Each fund merger must be announced in Wiener Zeitung. After the announcement, a three-month waiting period goes into effect, after which the merger can be completed. The provision of any additional information leading up to the fund merger is a voluntary service on the part of the Bank and is not mandatory. Current legislation specifies that it is not possible for investors to raise objections to the mergers. The fund mergers will not cause any financial or tax-related disadvantages for customers.
