The rating agency Feri EuroRating Services AG and the German television news broadcaster ntv named Raiffeisen Capital Management as the Best Asset Manager – Bonds in Germany and Austria during the fifth annual EuroRating Awards 2012 for the fund markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Feri and ntv awarded company prizes for the third time this year in order to “give investors additional value by assessing the quality of the overall product spectrum offered by an investment firm”.
The winners were selected in twelve fund categories and eight company categories with five nominees each. More than 4,000 of the roughly 15,500 investment funds available for sale in the German-speaking countries were evaluated in the asset classes that are relevant for private investors, and then the 100 best were nominated.
Top-quality funds prove themselves during difficult phases on the capital markets
In contrast to other awards, Feri not only conducts a quantitative analysis for the EuroRating Awards, but also takes qualitative criteria such as the experience and qualifications of the fund managers as well as the structure of the portfolio into account.
“The year 2011 has been very eventful, with lots of challenges for the fund industry. The nominated funds have demonstrated that they can remain on course even when things get rough,” said Feri in a statement.
Raiffeisen Capital Management has been honoured for its tremendous expertise in the global fixed income segment on a number of occasions in recent years. Just this spring, for example, the company was selected as the group winner in the category of “Best Bond Funds” in the fund awards conferred by the respected German financial magazine FOCUS Money in cooperation with the Deutsche Schutzvereinigung für Wertpapierbesitz (DSW) and the Institut für Vermögensaufbau (IVA). One particularly positive aspect of this award is the “long-term victory” over an assessment period of 10 or 20 years.
